Engagement signed same day
A signing link removes the delay between agreeing to act and having it in writing.
Law firms
Law firms need engagement documents signed promptly and retained defensibly. The evidentiary quality of the signing record matters more here than in most sectors, because the audience is professional.

Bond4Docs gives law firms and solo attorneys free electronic signatures with no per-seat fee. Engagement letters, fee agreements, conflict waivers, client authorizations, and settlement releases can be templated and sent to clients who sign from a secure link without creating an account. Each completed document carries timestamped audit history and a completion certificate containing SHA-256 hashes over the document and captured signing information, so later alteration is detectable. Court filings, notarized instruments, wills, and matters excluded by the ESIGN Act remain outside what any standard e-signature workflow covers.

Hash-based completion certificates with a public identifier that can be checked later.
Cost does not scale with the number of attorneys or staff.
The documents that suit electronic signing in a firm are the client-facing ones at the start and end of a matter, plus the routine authorizations in between.
The ESIGN Act's exclusions cut directly across legal practice. Wills, codicils, and testamentary trusts are excluded, as are adoption, divorce, and other family-law matters, court orders and official court documents, and most of the Uniform Commercial Code.
Court filing requirements are separate again and governed by each court's electronic filing rules. Documents requiring notarization or witnessing need a service providing those; Bond4Docs offers neither notarization nor remote online notarization.
Account access requires two-factor authentication, signing links are generated from cryptographically random tokens, and sensitive stored values support AES-256-GCM encryption at rest. Signing URLs and authenticated routes are excluded from search indexing.
Firms remain responsible for their own confidentiality obligations, including assessing whether a given vendor arrangement is appropriate for particular client information under applicable rules of professional conduct.
